BALTIMORE HAS IT ALL

Whatever a veteran seeks for education, we will assist in applying their benefits to the schooling of their choice.  For those veterans interested in a getting a four year degree, Baltimore is home to TEN universities.  For those veterans not ready for (or interested in) a four year program, Baltimore City Community College offers a different solution. Baltimore City is also home to tech and trade schools teaching the vocational skills to prepare the veteran for a civilian career.

When the work day is done and it's time to relax, Baltimore has many options for those with a sporting interest.  For fans of professional sports--our home team Orioles, Ravens and Blast bring the best athletes in the world here to watch their talents.  If the passion of amateur sports is more the flavor, the local colleges and universities provide exciting and competitive teams. If the veteran prefers to get out and play sports, there are adult leagues offering everything from the common sports of flag football, basketball, soccer and softball, plus more socially oriented games like bocce, shuffleboard and kickball.  Baltimore hosts a marathon each year and has many running clubs for those veterans wanting to stay in shape and make new friends.  The Forest Park golf course is just minutes away from Park Heights and offers a nice track to spoil a good walk. The Pimlico race track hosts the Preakness (the second race in the Triple Crown series) and attracts over 100,000 people plus the eyes of the nation for the exciting event.

For fans of the fine arts they can view the works of the masters in the Baltimore Museum of Art.  A more contemporary collection may be discovered at the American Visionary Art Museum.   The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra provides a great schedule of both classic and contemporary pieces.  The Hippodrome theater brings the best of the Broadway shows right here to Charm City.  The Baltimore Zoo and Conservatory sit on the border of our Park Heights neighborhood and offer a tranquil way to spend a nice day.  A short trip downtown to the Inner Harbor offers numerous activities throughout the year, and a chance to visit the incredible National Aquarium and Science Center for the chance to see and learn amazing things.

Sometimes we just want to see our favorite musicians in concert.  The arena in Baltimore brings the biggest acts of all genres like Beyonce and Jay-Z, Travis Scott, Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Twenty One Pilots, U2, and Pearl Jam.  Power Plant Live at the Inner Harbor has a great stage for a close up show with your other favorites.  For a different type of concert experience, Pier Six is an outside venue at the Inner Harbor offering pavilion seating and relaxing lawn seats.  A never ending parade of local rappers and rock bands play in various bars and venues throughout the city.  Whether you like dancing the night away, or just sharing a few drinks with friends in a quiet bar, Baltimore offers a nightlife for everyone.

Our Horseshoe casino offers games of chance and skill to those who enjoy a little gambling.  Baltimore hosts festivals each weekend from Spring through Fall with something for everyone.  Artscape is a America's largest outdoor art festival bringing over 400,000 people downtown to join in the fun.
