Tax Benefits for Donating to a 501(c)(3)
The federal tax code offers a tax deduction for contributing to charitable organizations, also known as 501(c)(3) organizations. The tax code does have limits on how much you can deduct and the records you have to keep, so knowing how the deduction works before you give can help you make sure you maximize your tax savings from your generous giving.
Money
When you donate money to Outstanding Veterans, Inc, we send you a tax-deductible receipt for your generous donation.
Materials/Supplies
When you donate goods to Outstanding Veterans, Inc., we will look at what similar items are selling for at stores in our area to provide a receipt for the fair market value of the items.

Real Property
When you donate real property, we send the closing documents to you for signing. We take care of the settlement costs to record the deed and transfer the property. You receive a receipt for the property value as determined by a qualified appraiser.
