The MISSION of Outstanding Veterans is to provide America's veterans a post-service life of excellence by offering housing opportunities, career development, individual growth, and community support.

Our PLAN to accomplish the mission starts with the veteran. We complete an extensive intake process to determine the individual needs of the veteran. We then connect the veteran with our network of community partners to provide the available resources.

We operate through donations. We also renovate distressed properties in Baltimore City, creating jobs and housing for our veterans. By concentrating our resources in a targeted area, we seek to create a "Community for Veterans" where each veteran will find a friend who shares their experiences, needs and values right around the corner.

Our VISION is to transform the reputation of Baltimore to America's "City for Veterans" and a beacon for veterans around the country as they transition into civilian life.

We have all the career and educational opportunities available in any city. Because of our proximity to DC, Maryland has 11 military bases for civilian jobs. There are many government contractor jobs in the private sector servicing those bases. Should you prefer a different path we will help you navigate your educational benefits

HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES

A community needs to be limited to a confined area so we chose the Park Heights neighborhood. Park Heights is a distressed area due to a lack of investment. This long overlooked neighborhood creates a timely opportunity because of the affordable properties now and the development that is occurring. The border on the South is the Maryland Zoo and Druid Lake reservoir. The City is currently investing $140MM on the reservoir, which includes renovating the Druid Lake concert venue. On the North is Pimlico race track and $389MM of investment being spent to save the Preakness.

Our mission to provide housing for veterans has the support of the residents, private investors, local nonprofits, local and national companies, neighborhood leaders, and City officials. With all this support, Outstanding Veterans, Inc. is able to obtain and deliver quality homes at affordable prices. We have targeted an area that is surrounded by City and State investment projects that will result in a transformational neighborhood and rising home values. As our veterans are put on the path to homeownership, they will reap the benefits of both the equity in the property and the strength of our Veteran Community.

COMMUNITY BUILDING

As we renovate the distressed properties in Park Heights, we help solve Baltimore’s problem of vacant houses. Placing veterans in the renovated houses, brings solid citizens to Park Heights and develops a stronger neighborhood. As the neighborhood improves with renovated properties, new veteran residents, and increased homeownership, we build a stronger community.
